Description:
if "--" is met inside of /* */ comment parser does not handle it.

How to repeat:
Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 2 to server version: 3.23.57

Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer.

mysql> select /* -- */ 1;
    ->

I can't repeat it - probably fixed

It is fixed in 4.1, but it is easily repeatable in 4.0:

% mysql
Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 5 to server version: 4.0.14-log

Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer.

mysql> select /* -- */ 1;
    ->

This happens for me both on Mac OS X and on Red Hat.
