Description:
It would be really helpful if MaxDB has an option for case insensitive sorting in the Order By clause without having to use the Upper/Lower functions. It could be a session parameter which we can turn on and off. We have a big application written for Microsoft SQL. When we switch it to use MaxDB, everything works fine except for the case insensitivity issue. I know most db systems either are case insensitive by default or have a session switch to turn it on.

How to repeat:

Hi Steve,

could you elaborate a little bit more why Mapchars won't do the trick for you?

Best regards,
Ulf
