Hello Chris,

could you elaborate a little bit more what you need and why are looking for a case insensitive data type?

Mapchars (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/en/55/fd4226348ac042bfd58ab326bdb008/frameset.htm), comparisons with UPPER(field1) = UPPER(field2) or extra columns with "pre-uppered" values don't do the trick for you?

Best regards,
Ulf
