Description:
Windows service fails to start (wizard hangs forever)
Service terminated unexpectedly Event ID 7034.
Faulty module mysqld.exe - access violation.

How to repeat:
De-install, Delete program and database directories
Install and configure

Thank you for the bug report. There was no feedback after the original report, and we are closing it now since the original config wizard is no longer the focus of Windows deployment efforts. For recent MySQL Server versions, the config wizard is also no longer available, and the MySQL Installer for Windows is the recommended way to install MySQL Server on Windows.
