I think this is because bug #55543 probably exists in other versions, not only 5.1.x, and it may not be entirely fixed yet in some of them. But let the documentation team double check.

Change log entry is now in the Ref Man for 5.1 and 5.5: The server could crash with an assertion, possibly leading to data corruption, while updating the primary key of an InnoDB table containing BLOB or other columns requiring off-page storage. This fix applies to the InnoDB Plugin in MySQL 5.1, and to InnoDB 1.1 in MySQL 5.5.
