Description:
It would be useful to be able to examine the buffer pool contents when doing troubleshooting.  It would be nice to be able to use something like 'SHOW BUFFER POOL CONTENTS' to do so.

This is addressed in our worklog #5614, rb://465 and rb://527, and checked into mysql-trunk-innodb.
