Description:
The clients mentioned in the header cannot run with an authentication plugin as the --plugin-dir parameter is not yet recognized. See mysql (already knowing that option).

How to repeat:
Enable the client calls, which have been commented out and run the following test in 5.5-bugteam, as soon as pushed: plugin_auth_qa.test .

Thank you for the report.

Verified as described.

They don't have the --default-auth option, either.

mysqltest has --plugin-dir, not --default-auth.
