Clarify what is copyrighted and what is not - implies: Can reports, discussions and replies here be quoted (with or without reference)? What about reports here older than this copyright notice. Is it legal to apply a copyright notice to old content from before this? If if is legal in what countries is it and in what countries is it not (I would not bother about 'US Federal Law' at for instance as it does not apply to me as I do not live in the US!)? Remove it please! However, I realize that I may have overlooked the copyright notice before and it may thus be older than 10 minutes. In that case it is only very obvious/visible now due to the ORACLE logo. An explanation of the implications of this copyright notice is required.

This is not a bug - the Oracle copyright replaces the previous MySQL/Sun copyright statement.

Exactly what is copyrighted and what is not? Can I quote from here (with or without reference)? Where will I find the (law-compliant) guidelines for this copyright notice? May I not even quote myself for instance?

Would you mind reply to my questions?

Questions regarding legal obligations should be directed to Oracle legal team. The bugs.mysql.com system is not an appropriate vehicle for this.

.. what means that I can safely ignore it according to law in my country! :-)
