Have you been using earlier versions of WB on your machine (which did not show this issue)?
can you try launching the app using the cmd-line parameter
-swrendering
to see if this works around the crash?
thanks in advance

Good morning Johannes.

I had not been using any previous version of the Workbench. This was a new install. I did however, go back and install the previous version once I found I could not get this to run. The earlier version starts properly.

I ran the cmdline version and option as you instructed and it crashed in the same manner.

I could very well be wrong, but since there is no faulting module name or info, I suspect this may be related to a failed dll load/link scenario which is being ignored.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

You are right Andrew, there are similar reporting in Bug #56960 so i'm setting this here as duplicate of the older one. could you also check if the noinstall-zip package gives you the same err (as mentioned in 56960?
thanks in advance

Confirming that v5.2.29 CE Rev. 6756 zip without installer works.
Packaging appears to the the issue, not the product.

Thanks Johannes!
