Description:
I create a new backup then I go to the Schedule tab to create the schedule when I click on the Schedule this backup project check box I get the following error

******
The connection to the scheduling service cannot be established. Please make sure you have the "Taskplanner" service activated and running. This can be checked with the Computer Management that is accessable in the Administrative Tools in the Control Panel (Win2k/XP)

System Error Nr.234
More data is available
*******
I cannot Edit, delete, or execute any of the saved backups becuase I get the same error

Under services I do not have a taskplanner service and there is no taskplanner service in windows there is a Task Scheduler service and it is running.

How to repeat:
all I did to create this problem was add a backup project the first time I added a project I get the message the under the general options I must check the store passwords checkbox and select Password storage method Obscured and then after I did that I started getting this error another thing I do not know if this is related this is a test box and the sqlserver root user is the only user setup and the root user has a blank password after I started getting this error I changed the root users password but that did not help.

Hi!

Can you tell me if you see the 'Task Scheduler' in the list of services of your system ?

I just checked in my computer w/XP sp2 and its there.

Thanks!

yes there is a scheduled task but not Taskplanner It was just the terminology of the message that I was confused about I did not know if the software loaded a peace called taskplanner or not. But I found the answer to this question in another string. It looks like this is a Bug if you have added any jobs without adding an schemata to it then you start to see this error but if you remove the item under Scheduled tasks then you can go back into MySQL Administrator and remove the jobs.

For those who can not delete the scheduled tasks can be easily deleted from the Schduled Tasks of windows, in my pc they have the names At1, At2...

After i delete the scheduled tasks then i can add a new scheduled one, but if i add more than 2 then i get the same error.

I am using the version 1.0.14.

Best regards
Antony Mandilas
