Description:
Software version: MySQL ODBC connector for Windows 5.1.7

Can't delete or modify an ODBC connection. Message: "Invalid Attribute String" is displayed" in a window with title: "Driver's ConfigDSN, ConfigDriver or ConfigTranslator failed".

When I created the connection, the TEST button had a successful result. I tried to re-install MySQL, restart PC, create a new connection but I still get the error.

How to repeat:
1. Create a User or System ODBC connection
2. Try to modify it / delete it.

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same. Because of this, we hope you add your comments to the original bug instead.

Thank you for your interest in MySQL.

Explanation: This is a duplicate of Bug#56233 and many others. Please find links to patched binaries there.

Martin, "harsh" answer is hard-coded into BugsDB and not written by me. Even so, I apologize if you find it offending.

Lawrin, your answer is marked private and I'm not sure Martin can see it.
