Description:
Please add quiesce command to MySQL. A quiesce command is used to indicate a state for which all users have been locked out of a database or an instance (of databases) so that administrative tasks can be performed.

This is a feature request.

Thank you for the feature request. Indeed, many other RDBMSes support "Quiscent" or "Single User" mode for superuser to perform administration tasks.
