I have now seen this problem twice, once yesterday (on my machine at home) and once today (on my machine in the office). I have tried several times today to copy and paste from the result set, in order to find out how to duplicate the problem consistently, but it has only thrown the error the first time... :-( I know that makes your work harder...sorry I can't be more specific! If I see a pattern, I will post it. Here in the office, the version of windows is: Windows 7 Professional version 6.1 (Build 7600) I sent the version information for MySQL Workbench from here at work, but I believe the version should be the same on both my home and office machines.

Sorry for all the posts...I just hope they are helpful. I found a couple of patterns for reproducing the error. I get a lot of errors when I copy only this line: '31128', '6859', '127', 'Präsens', 'Tempus: Präsens', '7056', 'aara' with or without quotes. I also get a high percentage of errors when the clipboard has other stuff in it, (i.e. when I copy something from somewhere else) and then copy from MySQL Workbench. So MySQL Workbench is accessing the clipboard for the 'first time' as it were

Paul, thanks for all the information. Looks like it may be a charset issue orso. Please also provide me with a SHOW CREATE TABLE for the said table you're copying and pasting from, and a SHOW CREATE DATABASE for the db you're working in/from.
