Description:
In italian the "'" apostroph is a separation character and a phrase like "Storia dell'amico" should be divided into three (3) words:
1) Storia
2) dell
3) amico
In MySQL fulltext indexing the apostrophe is used like "non separation" and in that way it's impossible to find the word "amico" into that phrase.
It should be better to have a configuration file where sellect the list of separation characters.

How to repeat:
This is a know feature of MySQL full text indexing

Suggested fix:
Adding a system variables or config file entry to do that.

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing
bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel
that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same. Because of this, we hope you add your comments
to the original bug instead.

Thank you for your interest in MySQL.

oops, this was actually submitted earlier than BUG#14194 :)
Anyway - it's already implemented.
