What is the problem with this situation? You can easily switch to the home screen again. The idea behind this is that WB tries to come back in the same status you left it (I admit this is not fully implemented, models load that way if enabled in the prefs, WQE and WBA do not). This also happens with other IDEs etc. (e.g. if you had the disassembler view open in Visual Studio when you closed it then it will show again after you reopended VS). Additionally, if you don't like it then it is extremely easy to "fix" it. Just close the window.

An entry has been added to the 5.2.32 changelog: On starting &workbench; in certain circumstances, a blank screen was displayed. This happened if &workbench; had previously been closed after using the menu item <guimenu>Help</guimenu>, <guimenu>System Info</guimenu>, and then clicking the main application window close button.
