Sorry, I just saw that you are using Workbench 5.1. Please try Workbench 5.2.24 here.

Same error, and i TRIPLE check i can access via mysql -uroot -pXXXXXX -h 192.168.1.58

Update: Apparently is a _strange_ issue, i try to connect to another mysql machine, and works fine. Let me get more info, and update.
