Description:
When connecting to a db (containing ~ 30 tables) using the SQL Editor and then clicking the + to expand the Tables in the Object Browser, it takes well over a minute before the tables are displayed. Same thing when clicking the "tab" in the overview section.

This is using 5.2.22 (RC 2). The same problem existed in 5.2.21 (RC 1). In the "old" MySQL Query Browser there is no latency at all.

System info output:

MySQL Workbench OSS for Windows version 5.2.22
Cairo Version: 1.8.8
Rendering Mode: OpenGL is available on this system, so OpenGL is used for rendering.
OpenGL Driver Version: 3.1 NVIDIA 189.18
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise Edition (build 7600), 64-bit
CPU: 4x Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU M 620 @ 2.67GHz, 7.9 GiB RAM
Video adapter info:
Adapter type:
Chip Type: Quadro FX 1800M
BIOS String: Version 70.15.43.0.2
Video Memory: 1048576 KB

How to repeat:
- Start up MySQL Workbench

- Open up a connection to a db using the SQL Editor

- Expand the Tables node for a db (or click the db's 'tab' in the overview section)

- wait for over a minute for the tables to appear

Thank you for the bug report. Are you connecting with local or remote server and which server version?. Thanks in advance.
[10 Jun 2010 5:09] Martin Belkert
Remote server running 5.0.90-community.
[12 Jun 2010 9:10] Susanne Ebrecht
I am not able to repeat this with remote server version 5.1.

Please provide the last rows of output from server general log.

It would be interesting to know if there is something in the log and which command exactly will occur your trouble.

Ok, we will wait for the logs.
