Description:
The output of the command 'SHOW AUTHORS' seems to be wildly outdated. I guess it's even obsolete, and should be removed?

How to repeat:
SHOW AUTHORS;

Thank you for the report.

Could you please provide example what is outdated?

Though this can be verified as we have no Lars Heill here and Comment for some of developers contains not all information about what they develop. Also strange why there are no current MEM developer here while we have "Testing - Merlin". Having no record about Chuck Bell and Backup team can be appropriate as 5.5 still has no MySQL Backup, but should be noted for future versions.

The rule with show authors -- if you have commit access, you can be there, so just add yourself there.

Hello!

SHOW AUTHORS and SHOW CONTRIBUTORS statements were removed in 5.6.8 release of MySQL Server. So I am closing this feature request (remove SHOW AUTHORS) as implemented.
