Description:
Trying to store a connection password give the following error:

"Store Password
Could not store password: Error communicating with gnome-keyring-daemon"

I am not able to try the product.

How to repeat:
* open "Database -> Manage connections..." menu and fill the required values
* click on the "Store in the Keychain..." button
* enter the password
* click on the "OK" button, the following message is shown in a popup:
"Store Password
Could not store password: Error communicating with gnome-keyring-daemon"

do you have the gnome-keyring package installed (is the keyring daemon running)?
thanks in advance

its installed however, checking with top it does not show up. Is there a better way to check if its running?

thank

I temporarily solved the issue by adding "gnome-keyring-daemon" as a startup application. Not sure if this is the best solution as there is already this entry: "gnome-keyring-daemon --start --components=pkcs11"

Anyways I am not able to store the passwords.

Many thanks for pointing this out.

The gnome-keyring daemon needs to run.
