Description:
On application launch, an overlay presenting MySQL WB appears and hangs.
In the application bar the windows asking for keyring password is waiting for input but the overlay hides it. I could finally type in my password by selecting the window and typing blindly. It should be also possible to move the windows to an other desktop.

I suspect this problem only concerns those who have automatic session connection, because they have to unlock their keyring later.

How to repeat:
Set automatic session login in the session manager.
Reboot.
Launch WB.

Suggested fix:
No overlay should be set on top.

An entry has been added to the 5.2.22 changelog:

When MySQL Workbench was launched, an overlay was displayed. In the application bar the dialog prompting for the keyring password was waiting for input but it was not possible to enter the password as the overlay hid the dialog.
