Description:
MySQL Control Center has a special function for handling images in a BLOB field. You can load and view the images themselves rather than the garbage string that represents them in the BLOB. However, we are unable to *clear* the BLOB field to contain "" (empty string) or NULL. Essentially, using only MySQLCC means you can load BLOBs in but never remove them without removing the entire row.

How to repeat:
Using MySQL Control Center, create a table containing a BLOB datatype field. Insert a row into that table and use MySQLCC to add an image into the BLOB field, and save the table. You are unable to remove that image you just loaded without dropping the entire row.

Suggested fix:
Add a button that causes the BLOB field to clear. (After a confirmation prompt for safety, of course)

Upgraded feature request priority to "High" due to concurrance of severity by colleagues using MySQLCC.

Thank you for your interest in the MySQL graphical administration tools.
We recommend that you use our MySQL Administrator and MySQL Query
Browser. The MySQLGUI and MySQL Command Center legacy products are
deprecated, and we are no longer maintaining those projects.
