Description:
mysqld.sym.gz is not shipped with 4.1.0, and mysqld is stripped, so it's pretty hard to get good bug reports, isn't it? :)

How to repeat:
install 4.1.0

Suggested fix:
include mysqld.sym.gz in future releases.

Which package exactly are you talking about? I've just checked the 4.1.0 binary packages and only
found them missing for all HP-UX 11.11 packages and the Standard IRIX 6.5 package (these were built
seperately and omitting the debug symbols was an error on my side).

All others should contain the debug symbols and I just verified this one more time.

The -debug packages do not include a separate mysqld.sym file, as the binaries should be non-stripped.
