Description:
I am trying to use the synchronize model functionality and it doesnt seem to want to show me a list of schemas from the remote db server I am connecting to. This functionality works in the GA version of workbench but does not seem to be working at all in this version. I know the system is connecting to the db because it claims it has connected an retrieved the list of available schemas.

How to repeat:
open up an existing model. Click on Database -> Synchronize model. Select an existing connection. Click next. The Select schemata to reverse engineer screen is blank. It does not bring up the list of schemata available. I know the schemata exist and are readable by workbench because if you go to reverse engineer and do the same steps above, the schemata show up in the list appropriately.

Are you trying to synchronize new ERR model with database? If you are, had you tried to execute Forward Engineer first?

I am having the same trouble on Windows 7. I know the connections works because I can Reverse Engineer and Forward Engineer databases. I can also get a list of schemas when I run a Catalog Diff report, but I can't get a list of schemas to show after I connect using the "Synchronize Model.." I am using the 5.2.26 CE version of Workbench and the 5.1.30 version of MySQL. Workbench is running on Windows 7 and MySQL is running on Ubuntu 9.04
