Description:
BSOD, can not save as ER model.

How to repeat:
Make a MWB ER model from MySQL DataBase e.g. SAMPLE

Try to make a save as model. - first worked, another time shows - file not found.

Hard copy fine SAMPLE.mwb to copy_sample.mwb and try to open it - causes BSOD - blue screen of death to Windows.

Thank you for the bug report. Which version of Workbench are you using? If prior of 5.2.19 please try this version. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for quick response. I'm using 5.2.19. Also I have upgraded from 5.2.8(downloaded in January) version today. Previously this error has not occurred.

CoLT

Please, send that problematic .mwb file.

Added MWB file, but I believe it is not directly related with MWB file.

I have made ER model from my MySQL DB 5.1.36 database and then tried to "Save as" model (first time was successful, second - error - can not find file)
then I closed MySQL Workbench to try hard copy paste .mwb file and when open it - BSOD appear and computer restarts. After restart file is editable again. (if you try copy paste again - BSOD).

CoLT

Even more critical:
1. Create reverse ER model from existing DB
2. Save model
3. Close and reopen MySQL WB .mwb file - BSOD.

Please, check with a newer version, 5.2.20, and inform about the results.

'Save as' now works with 5.2.20 BUT after renaming file under Windows XP and trying to open it - crash (BSOD) and computer restarts.

I am not able to reproduce it.

To which name did you rename the mwb file? Did you use other signs then signs from English alphabet in it?
[29 Apr 2010 15:45] S D
Any name, just try to 'touch'(rename, copy, etc.) the file and then open it - computer crashes. Previously I was using version like 5.2.8(or similar witch I downloaded it in the end of 2009 but now I have not seen in your version list) and it was fully working without any problem.

Done some testing:
Win XP SP1 - do not support MWB
Win XP SP2 - should support MWB but BSOD occurs
Win XP SP3 - works normally

So, bug is not repeatable with recent service pack of XP, SP3? Please, confirm.
[12 May 2010 17:12] S D
Correct, it works fine with Windows XP SP3.

But crashes XP SP2 instantly with BSOD.

Please, check with a newer version, 5.2.21, on your problematic XP SP2 box. If it still crashes, please. send the results of Help > System Info menu item on that box/OS.
