this is considered a feature request as current behavior is by design.

It is the same case with deletion also. But the problem is solved for deletion onve when we save , close and reopen the file. It shows an warning saying certain tables were deleted from diagram and the restore is successful

I understand this by design, the new tables simply appear on the catalog which is correct, synchronize does it's job. Could be a feature to have an option in the preferences to auto add new tables to the diagram but as it stands this is not a bug and certainly not S2 serious.
