Description:
When opening the Admin Tab, a CSRIPT window also opens remains in the background, minimised. This causes a sort of polling back and forth between the now 2 open windows - a flashing effect.

Even when the script window is closed, the workbench window still flashes. approx 2 seconds.

Closing the Admin tab after closing the CScript window produces the following error:

Unhandled exception: [Errno22] Invalid argument.

As such, workbench admin cannot be used, though the other tabs work fine.

How to repeat:
Currently running mysql 5.5.3

Start Workbench - assume instance is already configured - click the Server Administration Icon and select the Connection. Screen flickers considerably for 5 seconds before resuming steady flashing.

Suggested fix:
root user is being used to access the mysql instance.

MySQL administration (previous version) still works, though with obvious reduced functionality - so the instance seems correct.

The 'admin' mode seems to be working and monitoring (what I can see)

Possibly a server check status error??

Thank you for the bug report. I couldn't repeat either on Windows XP 32-bit or Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

Any suggestions on how to remedy the problem if you dont believe it is Workbench.

Only has this error in 'Admin' - Any reason why the CSCRIPT should stay open polling?

Definitely Refreshing Workbench status issue.

If you open another 'Admin' tab the flashing rate doubles, a third increase it again.

Please advise
