Description:
The mysql_explain_log tool (contributed by mobile.de) deserves a bit more documentation than just a man page with calling synopsis only.

(i also do not get any meaningfull results from it but that may be related to my test log file not
having any significant data)

How to repeat:
search manual for mysql_explain_log

This program was submitted by a third-party, without documentation.
Docs won't study the program to figure out how it works, particularly
as it appears to be a rarely used and buggy program. (It truncates long
statements, for example.)

You can invoke it with a --help message to see its help text, which is all
the information that any of us have.
