Description:
I have already defined tables. When I use the GUI in EER Diagram to define a table relationship, it creates a new key (suggest it asks each time if one exists or for the name to create).

When I edit the table, I go to each FK that was generated, click on the referenced table, and change the key to the one I already had. It asks me for the referenced column which I set as the same as the generated key.

It pops up the bug report at that point. I close the bug report, uncheck the generated key. go to columns and delete the generated key. No apparent problems.

How to repeat:
See above.

Suggested fix:
Ask each time I define a relationship for the existing key or the name for a new key column.

I assume you are using MySQL Workbench, so changing category accordingly.

I was transported by a bug report for the program, so I assumed it was all workbench (e.g.
General issue with Workbench). Sorry. I will take note of it in the future.
