- the defined keyboard shortcut for deleting objects from the canvas is Ctrl+Del (as listed in the main edit menu) - to the second problem: there are no columns listed in the "property" pane in sidebar, so i assume, you meat the table editor. there are no shortcuts defined for deleting columns, right. as a workaround you can raise the context-menu on the selected column by pressing the context-menu-key (or Shift+F10 on non-windows keyboards)

We will not change the hot key that is assigned for this action by default, as this is the value used for years already. Shortcuts like this are changeable by the user, as they are defined in xml files. The delete hot key is in WB folder\data\main_menu.xml.
