Description:
I am forwarding a request for consideration from an anonymous user:

Please add simple performance tests to release engineering criteria. At least two separate and significant regression have been introduced after
5.1.38. sysbench and sql-bench are very good at finding obvious problems.

The 5.1.41 regression requires a 16 core server for me:
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=51249.

I found another regression in 5.1.39 or 5.1.40 for 8 core servers:

How to repeat:
n/a

Suggested fix:

I think that running several sysbench tests on 16+ cores platform is a must for any release.
