Description:
I know the server is running. I can connect to it perfectly using Workbench SQL Development (querying), and using the old tools MySQL Administrator and MySQL Query Browser.

In Workbench Server Administration, the Server Status is "Stopped". All tabs say "Server is not running."

The server is MySQL Community Server version 5.0.45.

I have tried connecting to both local and remote servers, and it reports the same: "Server is not running".

How to repeat:
Open Workbench, and go to "Server Administration".

This is really a showstopper for me, so I changed the Severity to S1 (Critical), according to the definitions.

What name does your MySQL service have? Is it MySQL or something else, MySQL5, for example? Please, check with net start or sc and (if it is NOT MySQL) configure your server in WB accordingly.

The name of the Windows service is "MySQL".

Its a completely standard MySQL 5.0.45 installation I have. Nothing weird here.

What exact version of WB, 5.2.x, do you use?
