Description:
Either the usability on this is confusing

How to repeat:
Top Menu Bar
Edit
Select Preference ...
Go to Appearance

Suggested fix:
So if this isn't going to function then remove it entirely.
Or let me know how it works and I will come up with a new design.

mike,

all these settings are for the diagram-display. The two lists in the top part of the "appearance" section hold color values that are available as color swatches in the toolbar when creating objects like layers or tables.
The lower part - as you propably already guessed - is for the fonts in different parts of objects on the canvas.
Both sections seem to be working for me (while admittedly not that user friendly)
