On http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/geometry-property-functions.html, under 11.13.5.2.7. GeometryCollection Functions it says:

These functions return properties of GeometryCollation values.

This should probably be GeometryCollection.

How to repeat:
Check Manual.

Suggested fix:
Change term to GeometryCollection.
