Description:
On fresh install add new local - New Server Instance on Mac OS X --- on Testing Host Machine Settings says Error: File /etc/my.cnf doesn't exist.

How to repeat:
Run on default Mac install which has no my.cnf

Suggested fix:
Not sure exactly.
Maybe say no my.cnf you can leave as such and take defaults or can create from default.

I'd say that this is more a warning in the process, and one can solve some server administration tasks (like backup) even without proper my.cnf identified.

In any case, the idea to create my.cnf with default settings for further tracking/setting server variables sounds more than reasonable.
