Description:
Hello,
i moved the relationship-captions in the EER-diagram to my favorite positions. Then i save my .mwb. When i reopen it, the captions are on other positions. :-(

See Screenshots:
before: http://www33.zippyshare.com/v/93181805/file.html
after: http://www4.zippyshare.com/v/45233676/file.html

.mwb file: http://www5.zippyshare.com/v/27689296/file.html

addition: i reported another bug, so the problem maybe occurs only on my notebook.

How to repeat:
- Open my .mwb file
- move the relationship-captions and save the file
- close MySQL workbench
- open MySQL workbench and load the .mwb
- now, the relationship-captions should be on other positions

On my system (17" laptop 1440*900 resolution, Geforce graphics system) your .mwb file displays similar to 'before'. I think I understand that you think it should rather be like 'after'?

Peter

Yes, when i move my captions like/similar to the "before-link" and save the .mwb-file, everything is fine. But when i open the (new saved) .mwb-file again, it looks like the "after" link.

I forgot to mention my hardware details, I work with my Notebook DELL XPS M1710:
- Intel mobile Core 2 duo T7200, 2 GHz
- Mainboard Chipset: i945PM
- 2048MB DDR2 Memory (MDT)
- nvidia geforce go 7900 GS, 256MB - using ForceWare driver 179.48 (BETA)
- screen resolution 1920x1200

Greetings.

I believe the OpenGL code in WB has a serious problem with wide screen resolutions (what are now probably +80% of monitor and laptop sales).

Addition: I just noticed that the tables resize, when i reopen my file. So maybe this is the true reason why my captions "move"...
Can i disable this table-resize?

iI got two messages, that someone updated my bug-report, but i can't see the comments? hmmm...

Sebastian,

that you got information about updating the bug report but now comment ...

that means we are working on it.

My colleagues left some hidden comments. Hidden comments are not public readable. They are only readable for MySQL support and development or even only for support.

This has data security reasons.

Also users can make hidden comments or add files hidden so that only we are able to read them.

It is recommended to do this when you send us your e.g. your setup, your database details or other informations which you really don't want to share with the whole world.

Sebastian,

first of all many thanks for writing a bug report.

I remember that I saw the described behaviour in past too.

Anyway, I am not able to repeat this with Workbench 5.2.

I made several tests with your and other diagrams.

This problem seems to be fixed by accident in actual version of Workbench 5.2.

Addition: I just noticed that the tables resize, when i reopen my file. So maybe this is
the true reason why my captions "move"...
Can i disable this table-resize?

Unfortunately, you can't disable table resizing yet.

We didn't implement it already.

This would be a new feature request.

I will close this bug report here now.

I thought about opening a new bug report with the table resizing feature request, but I think it is better, when you will do it by your own and describe exactly what you want to have.

Last comment,
on my girlfriends Acer Notebook (ATI graphics, 32bit Vista, non-widescreen) with workbench 5.2.11 beta everything is fine. when i save my model and close workbench -> then i open it again -> tables stay at their size and captions dont move.
So i think, the feature i'm looking for is already (automatic) implemented. so the problem could be once again related to my system.

greetings.
