Description:
Can we apply some performance improvement parameters on the MySQL server?
The current transfer rates are appx 4GB in 6mins. While a ftp copy of the same data to the TSM Server disk took around 75 secs.

How to repeat:
rerunning mysqldump

Please, check mydumper (see http://mituzas.lt/2009/02/03/mydumper/ and https://launchpad.net/mydumper). Maybe it will allow you to do dump of data really fast, if you have multiple CPUs/cores and are not disk bound.

Thanks for the update.
But it is very important that the data integrity is also proven.
Do you know if there are any parameters in my.ini to change/add to improve the performance?
