Originally, I thought this behaved "correctly" on Linux and that only OS X was broken, but Linux behavior also seems broken or at least very confusing. When multiple items are selected in Linux WB, the dropdown at the top of the Description tab in the Sidebar shows "Multiple Items". Attempts to select any of the individual multiple items fails and the selection in the dropdown reverts to "Multiple Items". If it's possible to select multiple items and edit their Description as a group, as seems to be the case here, but it is not possible to select individual items from the dropdown, what is the purpose of the dropdown? Is it meant only to allow the user to review which items have been selected? If so, I don't believe that the dropdown is the correct control to use for this information. It's not possible to view objects of different types (Tables & Views) in this dropdown, even though it appears possible to select different types of objects in the main pane. I don't believe that this dropdown has any useful function on either Linux or Mac OS X. The behavior is inconsistent between these two platforms and confusing on each of the platforms on their own. It seems that this dropdown should probably be eliminated or its behavior made more apparent and consistent.
