I believe this is an old bug that has already been fixed.

It is not fixed in 5.1.14: * In Data Dump tab, select (but do not check) a schema * This causes tables to be displayed, click one. * Without checking the associated schema, click "Start Export"

Sorry, I misunderstood it. It will now auto-select the schema whenever you select a table in it.

An entry has been added to the 5.2.16 changelog: In the Data Dump facility of the Administrator, if a schema was selected, but its corresponding checkbox not selected, and then several of its tables selected for export, the following error occurred when the Start Export button was clicked: Nothing to do, no schemas or tables selected.

I am having the same problem. MySql Workbench 6.3.6 I have previously been able to get a data dump from this database. Now I can't get any from any of the schemas I have open in workbench. I've been able to run queries and make changes to the databases. Then when I try to use the export function I get this message: Nothing to do, no schemas or tables selected.
