Thank you for the bug report. Which exactly source package are you using (please print here the URL from where you downloaded) or how you get the source?. Thanks in advance.

and the package is :

If the exact URL was this:

http://mysql.mirrors.pair.com/Downloads/MySQL-5.0/mysql-5.0.87-linux-i686.tar.gz

then it is NOT a source tar.gz, but a package of binaries for "generic" Linux I'd say. Please, check with:

http://mysql.mirrors.pair.com/Downloads/MySQL-5.0/mysql-5.0.88.tar.gz

or

http://mysql.mirrors.pair.com/Downloads/MySQL-5.0/mysql-5.0.87.tar.gz
