Description:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/mysql-cluster-system-variables.html says that ndb_optimized_node_selection is a boolean, but then later gives the following:

"This option takes one of the integer values 0, 1, 2, or 3. 3 is the default."
