I can confirm this in 5.2.10 on 32 bit Debian Squeeze (installed from Ubuntu 9.10 .deb)

I have changed the font choice (the font chooser I see is a freehand text entry field, so I just followed the same syntax as the existing font entries). I saw no effect on any of the text editors, such as the Query Browser-like functionality or the VIEWs editor.

I just installed mysql-workbench-oss_5.2.16-1ubu910_amd64.deb on Ubuntu 9.10 and I'm having same problem.

I have the same problem. The workaround for this problem is press ctrl+'+' (plus in the keypad) or ctrl+'-' (minus in the keypad) to adjust the font in the sql editor.

I also see this issue in 5.2.19 on Windows XP. It worked in 5.2.16 but it doesn't so now anymore.

The hotkeys Ctrl+NumPlus and Ctrl+NumMinus do set the zoom level but do not alter the font in any other way for me.

I confirm this bug on Version 5.2.22 RC x86_64 that i'm running on a Fedora 13 machine. At the console I also get the following warning:

The font "-*-Bitstream Vera Sans Mono-medium-r-*-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-iso10646-1,-*-*-medium-r-*-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*" does not support all the required character sets for the current locale "en_US.utf8"
(Missing character set "ISO8859-13")
(Missing character set "JISX0208.1983-0")
(Missing character set "GB2312.1980-0")

Bug still exists in mysql-workbench-gpl-5.2.33b-1ubu1004-amd64.deb

Is this THAT hard?

This is already fixed, can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Ah, found it

when I go to Appearance tab, change font from Helvetica 10 to Bitstream "Vera Sans Mono 11" (i copy that string from Scripting shell field) and press OK button to confirm, i will not work.

I have to click on some other field, to save change to editor field, and then to OK.

This bug has been FIXED in MySQL Workbench 5.2.33b. I'm currently using a fedora package (mysql-workbench-5.2.33b-1.fc14.x86_64) and confirm that the bug does not appear in this build.
