Description:
MyODBC-3.51.11 works fine the last years with MS-ACCESS and MySQL (last version: MySQL 5.0.24.
Now our ISP has updated to MySQL 5.0.51a and since then the connection is interrupted after a few seconds. A newer version of MyODBC does not work either.

How to repeat:
Connect an empty MS-ACCESS DB once to a server with MySQL 5.0.51a and another server with MySQL 5.0.24. and you will see the difference.

Hi Heinrich and thanks for your report.

I see no bug described here. Moreover, all of the MySQL software you refer to is very old and I'm obliged to test only with most recent code.

There is nothing in MySQL 5.0.51a that could have caused this to happen (to my knowledge) but you are free to check changelog. Probably, this is just a misconfiguration in your environment. Check MySQL server error log and turn on ODBC tracing while searching for clues. There is also a "AutoReconnect" option in recent c/ODBC that might help.

If you can provide me with test case that shows your problem every time we run it, please reopen the report.
