Description:
Whenever a file dialog should appear (Open, Save As, Import (Browse for SQL file)) MySQL Workbench freezes.

This is on a Dell Latitude D830 which otherwise runs the workbench fine (I can happily edit etc as long as no file dialog is needed, so I can't save my work at all).

How to repeat:
Start MySQL Workbench. Choose File->Open or File->Import->Reverse Engineer...->Browse or File->Save as...

It's not a network problem AFAIK as there's no timeout after 2 minutes.

The File Dialog isn't hidden behind the window either.

Note that it's specifically File Dialogs that are the problem, e.g. the Preferences dialog is fine.

We aren't able to repeat this issue, are you tried to re-install it?. Thanks in advance.

I have re-downloaded and re-installed WB to no effect. I have the same downloaded file working on another computer, so I don't think it's corrupted.

I'm going to try reinstalling the .Net Framework next.

Uninstalled and reinstalled .Net Framework, both 1.1 and 3.5 SP1, to no effect.

Today I tried on XP SP3 without luck to repeat too.

I've tried building WB so I could debug it with some help from mzinner, but getting the depencies correct turned out to be alot of work.

In the meantime we discovered that the new Beta runs fine on my pc.

Are you tried the release 5.2.8?. Thanks in advance.

Well, that works, just like the beta I received from mzinner.

Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback. Can we close this bug as fixed?. Thanks in advance.
