This problem doesn't only affect usernames but it also affects database backups, and many other features. I have switched its severity as 'Critical' since this problem has been going on for early versions of Administrator.

On WindowsXP with the caracter "ù" in a user name, the "MySQL Query Browser" send a XML error : Error while loading options file 'C:\Documents and Settings\UserName with a ù\Application Data\MySQL\files.xml' The new connection created in MySQL administrator and MySQL Query Browser are not saved.

This problem exists both for 'MySQL Administrator' and for 'MySQL Query Browser'. If Windows user account name contains international charactes (Russian for me), both programs can't read or change content of XML-files in 'Documents and Settings\<Account name>\Application Data\MySQL\' directory, but could recreate if these files were deleted manually. When starting, both programs report error: XML Error: Error while loading Options file '<DRIVE>:\Documents and Settings\<Account name>\Application Data\MySQL\mysqlx_common_options.xml' Error Number: 1 OS: Windows XP. MySQL Administrator version: 1.1.1 rc MySQL Query Browser version: 1.1.13
