Description:
After installing the Windows binary of MySQL 5.0 (i've also tried 4.0), it says my computer as operating under Windows NT (the Win9x menu is not avaliable), which is\was causing conflicts in connection to the server, and, after restarting the computer, it does not initialise the server whatsoever (red light remains on in MySQLAdmin). Also, after installing MyODBC drivers, it lists their versions and location, but says "Not found". I'm not sure if this is to do with the windows version problem.

How to repeat:
Install under Windows XP environment, run WinMySQLAdmin; and it does not operate correctly.

Suggested fix:
No suggestions.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your report! First of all you should no longer use winmysqladmin as it has not
been under active development for some time and is being replaced by the new MySQL
Administrator tool.
Have you looked at these pages?

This seems to be more of a support issue. If you do not have a support contract you can use
