Description:
Looks as if starting with MySQL 5.0.80, the first release with the fix for bug 41486 applied, some valid mysqldump files lead to syntax error messages on import

How to repeat:
Will provide a test case once i have a small reproducible dump file showing the problem ...

Not reproducible with 5.0.90
