Description:
"Runtime Error!" from "Microsoft Visual C++ Library" when trying to start MySqlWorkbench v5.2.4 OSS. The installation path contains an accent ("é").
Problem seems related to v5.2.4 (v5.2.2 and 5.2.3 worked fine for me).

How to repeat:
Use an accent in the name of the folder in which MySqlWorkbench in installed.
When installed in "C:\Dev\MySQL Workbench 5.2.4 OSS" the program does not crash at start-up.
When installed in "C:\Dév\MySQL Workbench 5.2.4 OSS" the program crashes at start-up.

David, could you try again with 5.2.13? We changed the usage of 3rd party modules which should fix the problem you have been facing.

Tried again with the latest version i have found (v5.2.11). Program now starts correctly when installation path contains an accent (C:\Dév\...).
I have noticed that in this case the Plugin menu is empty (it displays "No Extra plugins"), while it contains "Catalog", "Objects" and "Utilities" submenus when installation path does not contain an accent (C:\Dev\...).
If I add a plugin (such as the Doctrine Export one), it is the only plugin displayed in the Plugin submenu.

It was submitted 14 Oct 2009. It is over 5 years and there are 5 duplicates! So, when it will be fixed?! It is quite serious problem for non-English speaking people. And if you can't solve it, the error would be better than crash.

This and related issues are planned to be fixed in the next major version of WB.

Fixed. Turned out the libzip library was at fault, I updated it to the newest one available (1.0beta) and it works now.
