Since before the problems described here happened, I am subscribed to BUG#46743 and also assigned to this bug (I first subscribed myself, and later was assigned the bug).
When Patrick posted the private comment "[24 Sep 22:02] Patrick Crews" I received a mail starting with "Dear developer, the bug assigned to you has been updated", and the email contained Patrick's private comment.
When Joro posted the private comment "[1 Oct 12:56]", I received a mail starting with "Unsubscribe from updates to this bug at: http://bugs.mysql.com/46743" and it did not contain Joro's private comment.
So I seem to receive mail from sometimes the subscribed route and sometimes the assigned route, and they don't have the same content.
In the latter example it was annoying because I was only shown that Joro set the bug from "patch pending" to "in progress" but wasn't shown his private comment so wondered "what is he doing?" and questioned him.
Is it possible that if you are assigned, the bugs db treats subscription as irrelevant, so that I get the private comments all the time?
