Description:
Talked with Mike Zinner, and while the Query Browser and Administrator will work with MySQL 3.x, they will not work flawlessly. Agreed that having the GUI apps check server version and display a notification when the user has an outdated server would be a good idea.

Suggested fix:
Something along the lines of

-------------

You are currently using MySQL 3.nn.nn. The MySQL Query Browser was designed for use with MySQL 4.x and higher. While this program will function, you may encounter errors and it's use is not supported.

-------------

Also add a checkbox with an option for 'Do not show this message again.' or something along those lines so we do not annoy our users too greatly.
