I can't test 5.2.3 because it crashes at the start-up however 5.1.18 I couldn't repeat on Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

Not repeatable on XP. Should be something Vista-specific.

Did you try to open a file that you created with that version or a file from an older Workbench version?

No it has never been possible to choose any file because the program hangs right after clicking on files/open...

Yes I tried, uninstalling Workbench 5.2.3 Workbench 5.1.18a Installing Workbench 5.1.18a -> Same result. So are there some other informations in combination to the error Message in System info c:\Software\python25\lib\site-packages\py2exe\boot-common.py", line 44, in <module> SystemError ..\..\Objects\tupleobjecft.c:90:bad argument to internal function which could help to isolate the problem.
